Our funeral director was very helpful in suggesting a lovely vicar to lead the service. The Order of Service was excellently produced and the mourners felt it had all been a fitting tribute to the deceased.

We were pleased with the way Mum's funeral was handled. Whilst we appreciate things need to be set in motion, we felt the initial calls within the first 24 hours following her passing were a little intense. Otherwise, we were satisfied with the service we received.

Efficient, smooth & timely throughout - from the first meeting to all follow through and the funeral itself (which of course, took the pressure off us).



Friendly staff with whom we felt very comfortable despite the occasion - it must be hard to strike that balance between sombre & respectful, but approachable too - and 'they' did it - thank you! Beautiful wicker coffin with rounded ends by the way - everyone commented on it - just right for mum. x

Devon was extremely patient and helpful with all our questions and requests (of which there were many), and she constantly went over and above, which made the whole process far easier than it could have been. Everything was done exactly how and when we wanted it, and we really did feel that we were in good hands. Not only professional, but caring too. 5 stars.

Not having organised a funeral before I was feeling quite uneasy upon visiting the Heckmondwike branch . Devon welcomed me and talked me through the whole process. She showed me brochures and explained I could make decisions there or contact later with my choices. Her kindness and expertise made the process as good as could be. At my request she also suggested somewhere for the funeral tea and that was a success too.

A first class professional service. Devon, our funeral director was excellent from the beginning to the end. Nothing was too much trouble. Removing the stress of organising a funeral allowed the family time to grieve.

I cannot begin to express how grateful my family and I are to the staff at Funeral Care in Heckmondwike. Their services were exemplary and nothing was too much trouble for them. Good service is a rare commodity in this day and age, but it resides in abundance at the branch in Heckmondwike.
In particular I would like to thank Devon Clegg whose kindness, understanding and professionalism do her great credit. Devon helped us choose the music for the funeral, recommended a minister and guided us through all the options available with tact and skill. Ms Clegg is a credit to herself and to the organisation that she represents.

Jean had a funeral plan in place so organising proved to be an easier process.  We found Devon & the team to be professional in outlining the finer details in a caring & efficient manner.
