We were very happy with the services of the Co-op. The staff from South Shields were really helpful and sympathetic, especially Craig and Lynn, and the service itself to celebrate Joan’s life was done very thoughtfully by Graeme Flaxan.

Unfortunately the coop gave the courier an incorrect telephone number. Consequently my mother's ashes were not returned as per the contract and arrived 3 weeks after the due date. This could have been avoided if the courier, not being able to reach the relative, had just made one quick phone call to the co-op to query the number. Not the service you expect when you pay £100 for transportation of the ashes.

From the first call I made to my local Coop funeral care I was impressed with their service, professionalism and friendliness. Our funeral director, Nichola was amazing and she went above and beyond supporting our family. The service itself went without incident and the care afforded to my family was second to none. We cannot thank or praise you highly enough.

Allison Boddy from your Jarrow Branch, arranged the funeral lead the funeral and dressed and made Dorothy look elegant she painted her nails put her make up on and cut and styled her hair. I cannot thank Allison enough for her caring and proffesionalism at this awful time in our lives, she is an absolute credit to your company.
Dorothy was my mum in law and we also lost my mum in June of this year and it was Allison again who cared for us and my mum again with the same care and empathy. Allison made a very hard time in our lives a little easier thank you.
