This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

I had to arrange a direct cremation for our dear friend. All arrangements were done over the phone and because I was laid up after surgery and found it difficult to get into the office to sign paperwork, a representative from the Coop came to my house to make everything easier for me. 10/10

Our decision to use Co-op Funeral Care, North Shields, was by far the correct choice.
We received unequalled, professional advice and assistance from Chris Henderson and his colleagues.
Chris guided us through each aspect of the Funeral, with great sympathy and care. Nothing was too much trouble and this was most comforting.
The funeral was perfectly orchestrated and carried out with the utmost respect.

The Funeral Plan which I have previously purchased was a very good starting point to deliver the total funeral for my wife.
The Funeral Director was excellent - very knowledgeable and he delivered the support to us in an extremely respectful manner.
In whatever was provided by the Staff at both Whitley Bay and North Shields sites was of the highest order and both my son and myself have the highest regard for them and Coop Funeral Care!
