A W Lymn (Sutton) provided an excellent, kind, conscientious service, supporting us all the way and made the process of funeral planning etc as easy as possible. At such a sad, difficult time it really helped to have such dedicated professionals by our sides. Special thanks to Karen Horton at the Sutton office for keeping us on track throughout and for being our point of contact, listener, provider of tissues, hot drinks and everything else in between.

Generally the service from Lymm’s has been excellent. The reason for not giving the top grade is that I feel Lymm’ s should have saved me from getting upset by the attempt by Sandiacre parish council to charge an extra £150 for the hiring of a skip to remove excess soil when their rules ( supplied by you) and signed by me when booking the burial plot, clearly state that excess soil would remain on site.

Funeral arranger Karen Horton is in charge of the branch, along with senior funeral director and area manager Jonathan Baker.
The Sutton office, which became a part of the A W Lymn group in 2013, also deals with Lymn Vouchers and pre-paid funeral plans.
The site features full client facilities such as a family room, visiting room and cold room, and A.W. Lymn's funeral arranger, Jackie Potter, from A W Lymn Shirebrook also lives on the premises.
Karen is at the office from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm and also after hours by appointment. You can receive assistance by calling A.W. Lymn Sutton's telephone number, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The branch covers all of Sutton in Ashfield and its surrounding area including Berry Hill, Blidworth, Harlow Wood, Forest Town, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Ladybrook, Mansfield, Rainworth and beyond.
A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service was founded in 1907 by Arthur William Lymn. Jackie, Matthew and Nigel Lymn Rose currently run the company.

This has allowed us to rectify matters with them and to point out that their published rules did not allow for the £150.00 additional charge they intended to make that has not now been paid. Thank you for your kind understanding.

The whole process of arranging a funeral was made much easier by Lymns at Sutton. Karen was ever helpful and sympathetic through the whole process and communicated with us at each step of the way and she certainly went the extra mile. Everyone at Lymns were exceptionally professional and the comprehensive brochure was a great help when communicating with distant relatives. We felt that the help given lifted a lot of the weight from us at such a sad time. I would recommend using their services to anyone.

The service we received from Lymns was of a very high standard and professional at all times.
Karen was lovely in helping us arrange everything and patient. She was friendly, understanding and caring throughout the whole process. On the day of the funeral everything was exactly as we had wanted.
Adam Humphries whom held the service at the crematorium gave a thoughtful, personalised, moving and very well presented service. A big thank you goes to Adam for this too.
We were pleased with all aspects of the funeral on the day. It was a difficult day for sure, however a fitting tribute to Kath which made it special.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and use Lymns services again in the future.

A funeral plan for my father Jonathan was prepared with assistance of Karen at AW Lyman Sutton earlier this year, which was the best thing we did as my father made all his own choices for the eventual arrangements.
When he died , from initial contact with Karen at AW Lyman the whole funeral process and arrangements were excellently arranged with constant communications from Karen along the way.
On the day of the funeral everything went as smoothly as necessary without any issues .
Our whole family would like to thank Karen for her excellent care and professional assistance throughout.

This is the second time in just over a year I've used Lymn's funeral service. Their service cannot be faulted, they made what has been a very difficult time much easier to bear with their compassion, kindness, efficiency and attention to detail. From my very first call I have received impeccable service from A.W.Lymn. Karen has a very gentle , caring nature and at all stages of the procedure has kept me informed of what was happening and if I didn't understand anything she took the time and patience to explain until I did. I found all their staff to be very professional and courteous and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

My Mums funeral was held right in the middle of the peak of the Covid-19 crisis. It was a really difficult time and the funeral was so restricted....most friends and family were not able to attend due to them being over 70 years old.
Karen and her team at Lymns in Sutton in Ashfield were truly extraordinary. Karen was attentive, thoughtful and really very clever in helping me to find innovative ways of 'marking' Mums death in ways that I would never have thought of. I really cannot praise her enough for the help, guidance and attentive kindness during the whole process..... simply extraordinary.

From the moment I walked through the door for the first time Karen has been absolutely lovely and really helpful. She kept me upto date about what was happening all the way through the process. Was so patient with me when I changed my mind about things.
Then on the day of the funeral Andy was lovely and helped us through the day.
