From the first conversation I had with Karen after my husband unexpectedly died aged 40, to popping in after the funeral, the team have been fantastic. Karen listened and was generous with her time and patience - her genuine care was hugely appreciated. The funeral ran smoothly and all of the team were polished, professional and respectful. I cannot thank them enough for their guidance during what has been the worst time of my life.

Funeral arranger Karen Horton is in charge of the branch, along with senior funeral director and area manager Jonathan Baker.
The Sutton office, which became a part of the A W Lymn group in 2013, also deals with Lymn Vouchers and pre-paid funeral plans.
The site features full client facilities such as a family room, visiting room and cold room, and A.W. Lymn's funeral arranger, Jackie Potter, from A W Lymn Shirebrook also lives on the premises.
Karen is at the office from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm and also after hours by appointment. You can receive assistance by calling A.W. Lymn Sutton's telephone number, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The branch covers all of Sutton in Ashfield and its surrounding area including Berry Hill, Blidworth, Harlow Wood, Forest Town, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Ladybrook, Mansfield, Rainworth and beyond.
A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service was founded in 1907 by Arthur William Lymn. Jackie, Matthew and Nigel Lymn Rose currently run the company.

From the moment we made contact with Karen at AW Lymn at Sutton in Ashfield, the professionalism shone through.
The communication was excellent and the kindness and compassion we received was second to none.
On the day, Jonathan, Richard the Celebrant and the team ensured that everything went smoothly and gave my husband a beautiful, dignified goodbye. My family felt supported and were guided through every stage of the service.
The bespoke coffin spray provided by City Flowers via AW Lymn , was outstanding and was exactly as I’d imagined, but couldn’t fully explain when requesting them.
I would highly recommend using them to any bereaved family.

We can’t thank everyone enough for their level of professionalism, their attention to detail, and their empathy towards myself and my children, during the planning, and then the funeral of my husband. We can't thank A W Lymn Sutton In Ashfield enough for their care and compassion during this difficult time after our dad passed. Karen looked after Dad and every aspect of Dad's care and funeral. A phone call, an email or a chat was never too much. Dad's funeral was everything he would have wanted and he would have been very proud. So thank you for making his final wishes a reality.

All staff were kind and considerate and very sensitive to our needs. Courteous and polite and went that extra mile to ensure that everything went smoothly. The staff who collected my mum‘s body were very sensitive to the family’s distress. Even though I feel we challenged Karen to change some things which were difficult, she rose to the occasion and accommodated our needs. Jonathan was informative, super smart and kind. Coffin bearers were excellent and manoeuvred perfectly. Compared to other funeral directors that I have used, A W Lymns were the absolute cream of the crop. I will be definitely recommending them to everyone I know. Thank you so much, you did everything perfectly. This meant a lot to the family.

Karen was very helpful from start to finish and the information provided made our efforts very easy.
the only snag was that order of service and donation envelopes arrived with the hearse and were hurriedly distributed to the mourners who were already in church

The service has been excellent right from making the difficult first phone call. We dealt with Karen at the Sutton in Ashfield branch and she was fantastic. She was sensitive, empathetic and so helpful with everything, guiding us through the difficult process. Nothing was too much trouble.
