Standard Simple Funeral

This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

The whole process at a difficult moment lifted all need to preoccupy and instead focus on remembering and saying goodbye. The service was extremely respectful and thoughtful. We had prepared a package some 5 years before and this made the process so much easier. With the video link many of our family were able to participate from overseas which was wonderful. The Co-op have been so supportive and thoughtful in helping me plan my dads funeral. Kerry and Rebecca were wonderful in providing me with all the information and options and never rushed me for answers. They always responded to me straight away and were so kind and empathetic, when I was struggling after loosing my dad. They made a heartbreaking situation, much easier to bear.
