They have been amazing through out at such a sad time for our family. Mathew was so helpful when I first called and guided us every step of the way. Tracey at Stapleford is the most amazing lady, compassionate throughout and treated grandma with respect, she made sure she looked beautiful whilst in the chapel of rest for us. We can’t thank her enough for everything she did. Nick Sharpe who led our service of Celebration also did with such compassion and took into account all of our concerns to make sure it was perfect. Opened on 19th April 2021 Half Crown House on Derby Road is run by funeral arranger Tracey Sweeting-Rowe.
The new funeral home was originally an old bank and was ideal ‘blank canvas’ for a funeral home. It is now fully equipped with two chapels, onsite car park and an extended mortuary. The move follows the need for more space and easy customer access.
The fifth-generation family business first arrived in Stapleford in 2003 as part of the group purchase of the Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Group, taking over six funeral homes. Previously located at Parker House on Church Street, the company has since gone above and beyond to help local families through every step of the funeral process, offering support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The office is open Monday to Friday, from 9.00am to 5.00pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm, but can be opened after office hours by appointment or you can speak with a funeral director 24 hours a day by calling the telephone number.
The branch serves all of Stapleford and its surrounding area including Bramcote, Chilwell, Sandiacre, Trowell and further afield.
Nigel Lymn Rose, former president of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), along with his sister Jackie and son Matthew, manage A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service.

I cannot adequately express my gratitude to the Stapleford branch of A W Lymn following the sudden, tragic death of our son.
From the moment of our first visit - without appointment - we were treated with nothing but kindness and understanding. They all went out of their way to help us through the most painful time of our lives.
Our thanks go to Natalie, Julie and Deanna and, in particular Tracey who went over and well above the call of duty with her help, not only to my husband and me but also to our granddaughter and daughter. We are so grateful for this and for her patience and empathy before and after the funeral.

All the arrangements for the funeral were handled in a very professional manner. The funeral from our house to Bramcote Crematorium was handled with great dignity as was the interment of ashes at Beeston Cemetery. We couldn't have asked for better service and our thanks go to Tracey Sweeting-Rowe who arranged the funeral for us.

The funeral arrangements for my Dad Bob Cameron were handled superbly by Lymn's. They listened to us and interpreted our wishes perfectly. They put no pressure on us and their excellent staff gave us great comfort and support in the days up to the funeral and on the day itself! Nothing was too much trouble we customised the funeral a little to reflect Dad and they arranged it all. The order of service was professionally done, the flowers were gorgeous and they handled the charity collections very professionally. Dad ended up with a tasteful send off that truly reflected the man that he was and gave support and comfort to all the family. I cannot praise the staff enough. Everything about the service we received was excellent. Every member of staff, from Tracey in the Stapleford office to Richard and the drivers made a sad time tolerable for all of the family.

Tracey was so easy to deal with, she had a very kind nature and nothing was to much trouble. During the funeral Richard explained everything and took me through every step of the way, not rushing us after the cremation allowing all the morners to come and offer their heart felt sympathy, when you consider there was about 150 attending it took a considerable time.
