I dreaded laying my wife to rest at any time but this company and it's staff reassured me through the whole process and I did very little. The cost was reasonable for what we wanted but the service offered by Lyndsay and his team surpassed this so far as to say I will have no problem with using this company again in the future.
All that attended my wife Sue's funeral have said how wonderful and dignified the whole process was and I recommend Lyndsay and his team.

I got to say the best funeral directors around from the first day our son died to the day of funeral first class service from lyndsay and the boys especially Ricky Edson very professional never had to worry lyndsay ellis took care of everything and gave our son a excellent send of family has used Lyndsay Ellis for my Nan and my dad and got to say gave them an amazing service keep up the good work all my first choice funeral directors

We have utilised the services of The Vale Funeral Service on a number of occasions over the past 6 years, having suffered the loss of close family members, including our parents. 

When my father passed away a few weeks ago, there was absolutely no hesitation in calling Lyndsay Ellis, the Principal/Funeral Service Manager. Lyndsay is as dedicated and empathetic a professional as we have ever seen, and he immediately replied “You know me, I will look after your dad, and do all that I can to help you and the family through this most difficult of times”.

Many of our family members are, or have been, public sector professionals, be that in medical or educational establishments, so we know just how much it means to people to be treated with dignity and respect. 

My mother and father had been together for almost 60 years, and the loss of my father was just so difficult for her. On speaking with my mother, Lyndsay offered calm reassurance that my dad would be looked after, and that he and his team, of what the whole family say are absolutely warm, professional, respectful and empathetic people, would do their utmost to take the pressure off the family at this time.

Lyndsay provided full explanations in respect of all aspects of proceedings, offering advice when needed. 

The Team built up such a lovely rapport with us, using appropriate humour and general conversation skills. They made us feel part of a team that was to provide my dad with the most personal and fitting of send-offs. With Phil manning the office, we were in safe hands. He was fantastic, and also comforted us all when we visited dad at the funeral home prior to the funeral. We will never forget that.

Likewise, we are just so grateful for the skills of those who looked after my dad following his passing. He looked so peaceful, dignified and almost as if he were just asleep. This has helped enormously with the grieving process. 

We kept adding and editing little bits to the Order of Service but nothing was too much trouble for Lyndsay, Phil and their  Team. 

On the day my dad was taken from the family home, having passed away just a couple of hours earlier, Lyndsay’s colleagues, including Ricky, attended and carried out their duties with so much respect - which the family will be eternally grateful for. That was a very tough moment, made more bearable by the interpersonal skills of Ricky. Both he and his colleague waited so patiently outside the house, with heads bowed, whilst the family came to terms that dad would be leaving the family home.

The subsequent actions and preparation for the Service were carried out to exacting standards. The creation of the Order of Service, music, photographs, flowers, arranging the Celebrant, and actual transportation of dad from the family home and via their previous family home, whilst en route to the Service, will be forever appreciated. 

Words cannot adequately describe just how wonderful Lyndsay and his team are, and just how grateful we all are to them for easing our pain at this extremely sad time.

Our family would wholeheartedly recommend Vale Funeral Services to everyone. They are truly magnificent. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Lyndsay and Team.

Lyndsay could not have been more helpful in this stressful time. He organised what he could and was patient with me and my step mother with the parts we had to organise. Could not be more grateful for his assistance in a truly horrendous time of our lives that was then made worse by the restrictions in place due to the pandemic.

I was very pleased my Daughter’s Funeral was exactly as I wanted it. Everyone that came said it was perfect and very apt for my Daughter. Lyndsay Ellis can’t do enough for you and is only a text message away if you have any concerns. You are kept up to date throughout. Fantastic service, Lyndsey was amazing. They listened to what we wanted and couldn't have asked for a better send off for Peter.

Well everything I asked for Lyndsay and his amazing team done with no questioned asked. They were there 24/7. They exceeded everything and we’re very professional. In every way. The best part of Lyndsay and his team I did not do anything as they seen to it all even down to the flowers. I would highly recommend Vale Funeral without question. They are impeccable compassionate and even accommodated any  last changes . I had my Sons Funeral my Dads funeral and recently had my Mums Funeral . Thank you all
