My heartfelt thanks to Debbie, Rosie, Stuart and the wider Stibbards team for their thoughtfulness and professionalism. Everything regarding my mum's funeral, from the initial phone call and meeting, design of the order of service and the actual day, was done with care and compassion. I felt supported at every stage. A huge thank you also to Rev Heather, who held such a lovely, personal service that was a fitting tribute to my mum and made a difficult time much easier to bear.

The caring team at S Stibbards & Sons understand that contacting a funeral director can seem daunting, but with over 150 years experience, they are there to listen, reassure and support families at this very difficult time.

S Stibbards & Sons’ Leigh-on-Sea funeral home provides a calm and tranquil atmosphere in which to make funeral arrangements. Whether families prefer a full traditional funeral service, or a quiet farewell tailored to their needs, funeral director Martin Stibbards and his experienced staff aim to ensure that the arrangements fulfil every family’s wishes.

Stibbards offers a fleet of modern Jaguar hearses and limousines to ensure families and their loved one will travel in comfort, driven by their professional staff. Funerals can also be tailored with a traditional horse-drawn hearse, or vintage vehicles.

S Stibbards & Sons is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors and The Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Homes association (SAIF) and meets the high standards set by both.

It offers Golden Charter funeral plans to those who are considering the future, while as part of its support for families, it offers in-house bereavement counselling.

    Fantastic support and help with organising and carrying out dad’s funeral.

    Everyone commented on what a lovely service David Coster carried out and how lovely the order of service looked that their media team produced. A number of family members watched the service via the link and were pleased to be able to have that option so that all went well too.

    Dave and the team on the funeral day were so helpful and professional and helped us tremendously.

    Debbie at Leigh is such a kind, lovely, professional and organised person who helped us navigate everything at this difficult time.

    We would definitely recommend Stibbards.

    I was so pleased I chose Stibbards to help me organise and manage my late husband’s funeral. From start to finish, Stibbards were thoughtful, kind, discreet and helpful. They thought of everything, made sure even if the tiniest of details were correct and went above and beyond to make it as easy as they could. Mourners present on the day later commented at how pleased they were to see the funeral directors taking good care of me. Funerals are never easy. Stibbards are first class at easing the way.     Great service at a difficult time. Their attention to detail was without fault. The funeral went smoothly, as a family we were very happy with the arrangements.
