I am grateful for the advice and gentle reminders Lee gave to help me process the official paperwork which was essential for the cremation to take place.

Can not thank every member of Gartons enough for their true professionalism in dealing with the death of our mum, every phone call and question was dealt with with the utmost respect and every little detail of our requests on the day of the funeral had clearly been listened to and followed through to the last detail , it was a sad occasion but made slightly easier by how compassionate and respectful every member of staff we dealt with was with us , thankyou so much

I cannot recommend Garton’s enough. My Dad was a very dignified gentleman and he was treat with the dignity he deserved whilst in their care. I was able to visit my Dad whenever I wanted and nothing was too much trouble, I was even able to  spend time with him on the morning of his funeral. Lee predominately looked after my Dad, along with Eric and Fraser and I was deeply comforted by the service they provided to both my Dad and myself at what is a very sad, difficult time.

In the difficult circumstances following a family bereavement I feel that we were lucky to have experienced the considerate and quietly competent service of M Garton & Son.

From the first call after my father’s death that saw his body collected with respect and dignity on a Sunday evening to the drive back home after his funeral I felt supported by Lee and all of his colleagues that I dealt with. I was never made to feel that any of our questions were stupid ones, though they must hear them many times a day, and was reassured throughout what could have been a far more difficult process.

Our wishes were carefully identified and followed, and the minister recommended by Lee to perform the funeral service was a perfect fit for our family.

I can’t thank them enough for what they did for us, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services to anyone going through the same experience.

The service was very helpful, caring and very professional,  all our needs were accommodated, Lee made us feel at ease and helped us through the difficult time of the funeral, he ensured everything was at our pace and not rushed, and he was very helpful ensuring everything was done and that we had flowers, music of our choice and others too. Gartons have always been helpful within our family and we have always gone to them when the sad time comes that we need their help

The service from all the staff at Garton & Sons was so professional and respectful. Great communication via meetings, phone calls and emails which made this sad time stress free which was appreciated! Genuine and caring staff made us feel comfortable throughout and all requests made were listened to and carried out. The staff were not only very professional but also helped on a personal experience of feelings and put myself at ease at such a difficult time (Thanks Frazier!) They provided us with the order service which was communicated promptly and the outcome was great. Thanks to Lee and the team for your service and kind words  (yet again) 
As a family we would highly recommend to anyone. We would give you more than 5 stars if we could!!!!

This has been the worst moment of our lives, losing our father so sudden. During the grieving process we were slightly worried on how we were going to organise the funeral & at the time it’s the last thing on your mind, however...we needn’t have worried Lee & the team were absolutely fantastic, they took all that worry away & did everything for us, very impressed as we are hard to please! Sadly our family lost a very dear loved one 3 Weeks ago but we knew that as a family we wanted the only the best for our loved one so that's why we choose Garton's. After speaking to Eric I knew that my dad was in safe hands and with Eric's guidance dad's last journey was done with dignity and respect. We as a family could not thank Eric and all at Garton's enough for all they did for us but mainly for dad.

The staff were very very understanding and talked us through everything keep in touch by email also and telephone. help with questions and listen to our needs. the cars was perfect nice n clean n comfy. all the service was rung so lovely was proud to have used Garton for my late partners cremation. we even was shown how to carry the coffin in a safe and correct manor in which was a great honour to do. they dont hound you for moneys like some place do. no hassle no problem. also Garton did my mum cremation 3 months before my partner. The cost for they top quality service was amazing and affordable and to all our need. a big thank you to all staff who did my mum and my partner proud. also they have a private room for you to visit your love ones and set out and pleased. amazing staff in the office and also driver n service and a big thank you to Frazer who was the best. thank you for all you have help with and defo a a company you can trust.

In 2002 my mother died and my father, in many ways a perfectionist, visited a number of funeral directors until settling on M Garton & Son of Hull to arrange her funeral.
 It turned out to be a wise choice.  Gartons listened to my father's wishes and took every effort to advise him without dictating events. Taking on the necessary arrangements without fuss yet at the same time respecting his choices. Basically carrying out his wishes and taking the pressure off him.
When my father died in January 2021 at the age of 95 years, it was with this in mind that I decided to use the services of M Garton & Son once again. 
I was an only child and my father had insisted on taking personal responsibility for my mother's funeral arrangements so when he himself passed away I found myself in very unfamiliar territory having never had any previous experience in arranging Death Certificates, Orders of Probate and definitely not arranging a funeral.
Frazer, of M Garton & Son was able to assist me with the type of service, a choice of caskets, floral arrangements, transport, dates, times, costs, the order of service, the music to be played at the service, selecting someone suitable to perform the service at the crematorium, whilst keeping me updated as to the progress of events and checking that I was happy with how things were going.
The funeral service was very moving with the casket arriving covered in a Coldstream Guards drape, covered in turn with a beautiful spray of flowers (arranged by Gartons) and my father's old army beret. The Last Post and Reveille at the end of the service was both very special and very moving. 
Gartons subsequently collected my father's ashes and made arrangements with the necessary people to amend the wording on the kerbstone at the plot where my father's ashes were to be laid to rest with my mother's remains. 
As an only child it was left to me alone to settle my father's estate and organise his funeral. Whilst I'm still dealing with my father's estate, which has been the source of considerable stress, I'm thankful in the knowledge that at least Gartons were able to relieve me of much of the pressure relating to the funeral. I can say that every member of staff I have had contact with have made me feel like their only customer, demonstrating breathtaking patience and care.

Lee supported us through the whole process and I can honestly say he and all the team at Gartons made the process completely stress free, which given the circumstances was greatly appreciated. Nothing was to much trouble and each and everyone of the team I spoke with over the phone and face to face, whilst arranging different aspects of the funeral, was so sympathetic and empathised with me.
The flowers were of the highest quality, as were the order of service cards and again the family truly appreciated them. I fully recommend the service being streamed also, because those who could not attend commented on how good it was for visual and audio clarity.
For such a sad loss in our lives, it was so comforting to have M Garton & Son help me arrange the funeral, which allowed myself and the family to grieve knowing my mum was in such caring hands.
