I THANK all the staff at M Garton & Son greatly for helping me through a very difficult time. Special thanks to Eric who was ABSOLUTELY brilliant. So helpful, respectful and kind. Everything was handled so fluently. From the arrangement of the undertakers, the Chapel of rest, the funeral and collection of the ashes.
I have never been through this before so was feeling quite stressed and overwhelmed, I didn't need to be, M Garton & Son were fantastic. Also, special thanks to Steve Massam who handled the service. Everyone commented on how brilliant the funeral and service were. I wholeheartedly recommend M Garton & Son.

I cannot recommend Lee and the team at Garton’s Hessle Road enough. Even though my father only received a direct cremation, and therefore I paid a basic fee, the care and compassion I received was second to none. I was constantly reassured that my Dad would be treated with respect despite no-one being present at his cremation, which is all a bereaved relative could wish for. I also received many phone calls to ensure I was happy and kept informed of proceedings, including one immediately after Dad’s cremation to tell me all had gone well. There was one slight blip in regard to the notice that was placed in the Hull Daily Mail but this was quickly rectified and I still received a full and genuine apology.  What a lovely, caring firm to deal with at such a sad time.

Having never had to arrange a funeral before, I was incredibly daunted about the process. However, from the very first contact with Garton's, myself and my family were confident we'd made the right choice for my father's funeral.

Every member of staff we came into contact with were sensitive to the situation, professional, warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and tactful to the highest level. We were never left unsure of any details, were in constant communication, were aware that we were in control of the situation and felt supported and encouraged at all times. We were told what to expect at each point and, on the day, were looked after flawlessly.

At one of the worst times, Garton's made the situation better and myself and my family cannot recommend them highly enough. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the company or the people.

Some how Garton & Sons funeral Director’s made a terrible situation seem easier. They were so helpful & nothing was too much hassle. They were prompt with every part of the process. The office we met to discuss the funeral arrangements was very smart and professional but had a homely feel. We dealt mostly with  Frazer who was calm ,supportive and very respectful. Excellent care for each individual family.

Garton & Son have always had a great reputation in our area and my family was confident that they would provide a first class service for us.  They didn’t disappoint, and went the extra mile to ensure that our late father, Johnny Whiteley MBE had a wonderful and fitting send-off at the MKM Stadium and then the Crematorium.  They had to work with many different organisations including Hull FC and the City Council, and handled everything with great efficiency and patience.  Nothing was too much trouble for them and they ensured we were informed and updated every step of the way.  Thanks particularly to Lee, who was our main port of call at Gartons.

Garton & Son Hessle Road, showed respect and professionalism throughout.  Everything went smoothly, I really felt like I could relax and trust them entirely.  Lee helped me through the entire process of the loss of my Dad, and most importantly celebrating my Dad’s life with joy and dignity.  They even made regular phone calls to check how I was doing.  They really helped me get through this difficult time.  I had so many friends and family say what a lovely service it was and it gave me great comfort at such an emotional time.  This is clearly why families go back to Garton’s, you really can trust and depend upon them to be both professional and compassionate.  Thank you.

Garton and Sons a few years ago, so most of the main decisions had already been made and the whole process was dealt with efficiently and in the most caring and professional manner. I cannot recommend Garton and Sons highly enough. I had no idea how to organise a funeral and was quite distressed (not least because I live miles away from where the funeral was to be held). Lee was truly helpful and compassionate. He literally guided me step by step through each task. The resulting funeral was a beautiful reflection of the life that was. Thank you Lee and Garton and sons for the service you offer. You helped me and my family allow ourselves to grieve.

Everything we asked for wasn't any trouble, we were kept informed all the way through the process and even the little things that we didn't think about were delt with.
I know, if you like, it's their job but they do it so well .
We have used M Garton & son before and will use them again when needed (not too soon though hopefully)
The staff are faultless and so friendly, you can feel as though they are part of the family and grieving with you.
