We received excellent service from Dan Barnes in the Littleover office of A.W. Lymn - he was a very good communicator and he was a reliable and empathetic individual. On the day of the funeral the service was also excellent led by Neil. He was attentive to detail and peoples needs. We were very happy and content that it went well.

Superb from start to finish .Made a difficult situation very easy and a special mention to Dan at Littleover branch who was fantastic in every aspect.
Located on Burton Road, AW Lymn's Littleover branch opened in May 2017 and funeral arranger Dan Barnes is in charge of the office, along with senior funeral director Kevin Hall.
The premises offer a reception area, visitation rooms, family room, cold room facilities and a ritual washing area.
Dan is available to see clients from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, or at any other time by appointment – the telephone number operates 24 hours a day.
The office is called Meek House and is named after David and Shelagh Meek, both Littleover residents and long serving members of staff at A.W. Lymn. Husband and wife team David and Shelagh opened the main Derby office on Becket Street in 1985.
Nigel Lymn Rose, former president of the National Association of Funeral Directors’ manages A. W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service, along with his sister Jackie and his son Matthew.

At one of the most stressful times in your life, the staff at Lymn’s were faultless. Nothing too much trouble and with a smile when appropriate. Special thanks to Tracey Matthews (Celebrant) who made everything stress free on the day along with Kevin. This is the second time I have used Lymn’s in the last 6 months and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

A W Lymn provided an excellent service following the passing of my father.
Dan was very caring, supportive and professional regarding organising the funeral and all the required elements in between to make the day run smoothly. At a time that is so upsetting and stressful Dan and the drivers helped make the process much easier.
We are truly grateful for all your help and support and we would have no hesitation in recommending Lymn's Funeral Service.

Can't speak highly enough of the considerate and effective services they gave us.following my Dad's passing.
From the moving to the funeral home within 2 hours and the fully comprehensive and sensitive range of services offered and co ordinated it was absolutely top quality. I would highly recommend. Even member of staff (and I probably interacted with 10) all co ordinated through Dan in littleover were a pleasure to deal with. Co ordination with the church and vicar, the crematorium were all impeccable.

I found Dan to be good in that he had developed a relationship with the family from meeting him at the funeral planning phase which made things easier, meeting him again at the time of my father's death. He was very professional throughout and even if he missed a call he would respond back or email and supported us as a family through the process.
The day went really well and the relationship they have developed with the church was second to none

From the moment that I had to organise the funeral arrangements for my Mum who had passed away, Dan handled everything so efficiently and professionally, and brought all of the logistics together. Everything ran seamlessly all the way through, and I cannot praise Dan, and all of his team enough, they were excellent. The service from A.W. Lymn Littleover was excellent. Dan made everything as easy as it could be at such a difficult time and provided information and support every step of the way. Everyone we came into contact with at Lymns right from making the initial phone call to the day of my mum's funeral service was lovely, managing to find the perfect balance of professionalism with care and kindness.
We had used Lymns before for my dad's funeral a few years ago and received the same level of care on that occasion also.

A.W. Lymn at Littleover provided a professional service throughout, showing the utmost respect to our mum and to our wishes.
Dan, our Funeral Arranger, did everything that he said he would do, being very attentive to our wishes, in a timely manner and always calm and professional. Dan's overall service to us was excellent.
Neil was our Funeral Director on the day. Neil phoned the evening before to run through the logistics of the day which was reassuring. On the day of the funeral Neil showed the utmost respect to our mum and to how our day was planned. Neil checked with us at every stage of the day, quietly managing every part of the journey, service and burial, and thoroughly looked after us all.
A.W. Lymn's staff, cars, drivers, pall bearers are all superb, thank you to all involved.
