Standard Simple Funeral

This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

The taking care of my mam was perfect the gentlemen came to collect mam from home and took her into their care he was very kind and professional we where informed at every stage when my mam was brought closer to home a lovely man came to my home to discuss arrangements he was very kind understanding and knowledgeable My mam already had a funeral plan in place to which we added and he talked us through everything in the plan and what would happen on the day of the funeral he was there on the day of the funeral so this made it comfortable for us as he was a familiar face The only thing that wasn’t so good was the length of time we waited for the funeral which was a month for although this might have had nothing to do with the coop and possibly the crematorium all in all the plan my mam had put in place made it easy for my sister and myself to sort as phone numbers etc are on the paperwork I can’t fault the care or the professionalise of the people we spoke to .
