From the first moment we went into the funeral home at Westbury-on-Trym to make arrangements for my wife Marion's funeral, the funeral director Alex Warren put us (myself, son Dan, daughters Hannah and Ellie) at ease in what was a testing time.
Throughout the whole process, she was extremely professional and talked us through what would happen over the coming days.
She went out of her way over the next few weeks before the funeral to make sure everything was going to plan and all our requirements were met.
After the funeral service, all the feedback we've received has been most positive,
saying what a lovely service it had been and what a fitting tribute it had been to my wife Marion.
This is in no small way to the empathy and care that Alex showed leading up to the funeral and after, when she called us to check in on how we were doing.
Our thanks to the whole team at the Westbury-on-Trym office, including the officiant for the service Peter Davies.

Thank you for managing the whole funeral process with empathy, compassion and understanding of wishes, with excellent communication throughout. On the day of the funeral the team acted with respect and professionalism. What was a stressful and emotional time was made easier by the Funeral Director's sensitive approach. The arrangements were made efficiently by Terry Tileywho was very welcoming and made all the arrangements.Terry made all efforts to give us exactly what we wanted, including a beautiful pink lining. The lining and the gown were so beautiful, tasteful and just as we had requested. We were able to see Irene on three occasions and Irene was beautifully presented.On the day, everything went very smoothly, the hearse and limousine arrived in good time, the flowers were beautiful and the service was very dignified and went just as we'd hoped. The committal at Mangotsfield went very well and the journey back to the church was trouble free. A special thanks to Tom who stood in for Terry at short notice and conducted the whole proceedings with great dignity and respect. Thanks also to the limousine driver and the pallbearers who added to the dignity of the occasion.
A special mention to the designer of the order of service, Victoria Clark, who provided a very special and memorable order of service, which everyone appreciated.
