The service that Rowland Brothers provide is second to none. We have used them before, which led us to use them again due to their compassion and attention to detail.
They made everything extremely easy for us, so that we could focus on the things that required less of an emotional involvement.
The complete outfit, from the office admin to the hearse driver and pall-bearers...was carried out with empathy and integrity.
I would gladly recommend Rowland Bros again and again.

Rowland Brothers gave excellent service during the planning and preparation of the funeral. Happy and willing to spend as much time as necessary to make sure our requirements were met. Everything was fully explained in a friendly and compassionate manner. The funeral was beautifully managed in a very calm, gentle and professional manner.

From the moment I walked into the funeral parlour I felt that I was at the right place after visiting several others I felt so at peace, the lady at the front desk was so lovely and then I met Carol who just made everything right such a pleasant and caring young lady thank you very much.

We would like to thank all the staff for their compassion and professionalism in helping our family at a most distressing time.
It meant a lot to us that our mom was in caring hands and that her final journey was conducted with such grace and dignity as befitted her.
With special thanks to Carly & Andy who took great care of us all

My first disappointment was that the casket of my choice was discontinued,
I was unhappy in regards to the Golden Policy that I had taken out before hand because when the time to implement it there was some misunderstanding as to what I was told
When I went to view Florence's body in the chapel the lights were dim so I didn't get to see the face properly and I was concentrating on the plaque which had the wrong age written on it, had I noticed her face at that stage I would not have had the casket opened the day.
A funeral is a chance for everyone to say their last goodbye to the deceased, I was shocked at the way my aunt looked, it's as though the Rowland Brother tried to put her together after a horrific accident she looked like something out of a horror movie.
In all my years of attending funerals I have never seen someone look so deformed. This was not the last memory I intended for my family to have of our loved one, considering she died of natural cause.Gary Bruce replied
It is a matter of real regret to us when disappointment is expressed with our services. We understand the distress of our client but it may be helpful to point out the following:
⢠Our client had chosen a Heritage Casket in a pre-paid funeral plan taken out just under two years ago. Unfortunately this casket has since been discontinued by the manufacturer, so we made every effort to source a similar casket. Our client approved the replacement casket, and therefore we believed that the client was satisfied with their chosen alternative casket.
⢠All of our chapels have dimmer switches so that the light can be brightened if requested. No concerns were raised at the time. If they had, then we can by all means increase the level of lighting to a more suitable level.
* We do endeavour to improve the appearance of a loved one who has passed. Our professionals have years of experience and are skilled to the highest level. If the family had discussed this with us at the time we would endeavour to rectify the matter. In this particular instance we did in fact have other relatives attending our private chapel of rest who commented positively on how the deceased was presented in the casket.
⢠There was regrettably an error on the casket name plate in that the age was incorrectly stated as 99 years when the deceased was 101 years old. This was reported to the General Manager who apologised unreservedly at the time and had the error corrected immediately.

I would like to say a big thank you to the staff of Rowland brothers, especially Kelly Scott,
her calm and reassuring manner , made arranging my mother's funeral a simple task .
Kelly was always available when I needed her, and kept us informed at every stage.
I am very grateful to all the staff, who gave us a funeral my mother would have been proud
of. -

They communicated with and supported our family to ensure our beloved Aunt had the wonderful send off, befitting her wonderful life.

On behalf of the family, you gave my brother a fantastic send off with no hitches. From the moment we met Sophie and Robert we knew we had found the right place for Fergus. The Chapel was lovely and we were able to see him as we wanted which was a comfort to the family. The drivers and pall bearers and Robert were very professional but human.
No complaints so a very sincere thank you to you all..
