Compassionate, helpful,supportive and respectful. The Chapel of Rest arrangements were very thoughtful. We were numb from shock and they guided us gently through the nightmare.They did not do a hard sell on anything and made a dreadful time bearable.
Now the funeral is over I have had time to think and reflect, I have no regrets on any arrangements made at their suggestion.

Having used Pearce funeral services once, I will never use another company when it's next needed.

They were absolutely remarkable, planning a funeral is one of the hardest things you have to do but John and the team took all the stress from us, they did everything as my father wanted and the attention to detail was lovely, they showed love, compassion and respect from start to finish and I can't thank them enough.

We cannot thank Pearce Funeral Service enough for their empathetic and understanding arrangement of our son's recent funeral. During the darkest 3 weeks of our lives they were with us at every stage, offering advice and assistance. Sadly I was overseas when my wonderful Father passed away. A friend recommended John Pearce and the care home suggested another. I contacted both. From the very first contact there was no doubt who I would choose and that I would be in very safe, caring and professional hands. John's team are extremely professional. But it is John himself who goes the extra mile. His attention to detail, the amount of time he spent with me before the funeral and even after was so comforting. Truly nothing was too much trouble for John. Everything was arranged to perfection and with great respect, sensitivity and dignity. Marjorie Jefferies who conducted the service was wonderful too. The day of the funeral was a blur but John guided me through it. If you are looking for quality and professionalism look no further than John Pearce.

We had known John Pearce since he was at Dorcan School with our daughters and his father was our first vicar when we moved to Swindon. My Cathy, after we both retired, wisely wanted us to investigate and purchase a funeral plan and accept PFS’s offer with professionally written wills. I am now so glad that Cathy had this foresight.

I phoned John Pearce soon after the paramedics left our home, from that moment till after the funeral John was in contact. Unexpected sudden death creates all sorts of complexities and it was a relief to have a professional to explain procedures, guide our family through all the steps we had to take.

When a family is in shock it is so difficult to complete essential tasks. Wording a notice in the local paper, preparing an Order for Services at Crematorium and Church, arranging music for both Services and having an organist to play hymns selected, all require help and guidance that was provided by John Pearce. Then there are all the forms that have to be completed for Crematorium. It was a blessing to have John Pearce and his professional team alongside explaining and guiding us.

The morning for Cathy’s funeral was full of worries and stress. We had family from Cornwall, Devon and Yorkshire staying at a local lodge. Plus my sisters from USA, Somerset and daughter from Bristol but John Pearce with all his experience ensured we all arrived at Crematorium on time. Later we were transported to St Andrew’s Blunsdon and then to the wake without problems.

Given this was such a sad day the family took great comfort from both Services where John was always present to advise, help and guide. No doubt we will gather again for the Interment Of Ashes and will not hesitate to contact John Pearce again.

Pearce Funeral Services take away any worries you may have about organising a funeral service for your loved one.  Attention to detail, professionalism and dedication are their main attributes. Being a family run service they have a greater knowledge and understanding of how families feel following a loss. Pearce helped my family cope at a time we felt we couldn't.

John Pearce was the funeral director for my son's funeral, I found John to be caring, re-assuring and compassionate every step of the way. Nothing was ever too much trouble, things were done at my pace. He continually re assured me that he would be guiding me through everything, I cant thank John enough for the service he and his colleagues provided and for looking after my son so well, I would certainly recommend him, and would not hesitate to use his service again, but hopefully that wont be for a long time.
