About Us

Gills Funeral Care is a family run business with over 20 years experience in the funeral profession. They have extensive knowledge of multi-faith, religious and non-religious funerals, and recognise that it is important that all religious beliefs, customs and traditions are understood and planned into the funeral service in respect of your wishes.

Gills work with one of the industries most experienced Sikh Funeral Directors, Gurpreet Gill, a specialised Sikh funeral director with over 20 years experience in the industry. In addition, all staff members undergo compulsory SAIF funeral training to ensure your funeral services are planned to the highest quality.

Once you have decided on the funeral arrangements for your loved one, their professional team will create a personalised funeral programme, memorial cards, attendance cards and arrange a hearse for the funeral with a chauffeur. They’ll also provide sufficient bearers for the service to go to the church or place of worship.

Limousines are charged for separately which ensures that you are not charged for something you may not need or want. Each limousine is chauffeur driven and will carry up to six mourners. They can also provide a horse drawn carriage hearse for something truly memorable.

A range of coffins and caskets are available from simple and affordable through to the most unique, high quality designs, all of which are suitable for burial or cremation. Floral arrangements can also be ordered to sit on top of the coffin or casket of your loved one.

Their Walsall funeral home is located on Pleck Road and is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with a 24-hour telephone service. Call Gills Funeral Care now to find out more about the services they provide and begin making funeral arrangements for your loved one.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you arrange a funeral?

You can arrange a funeral by choosing a funeral director who will help you organise all of the details. They can help you decide whether to have a cremation or burial and what type of service to choose, as well as additional options, such as music and flowers. You can find out what happens at a funeral and compare funeral directors on Funeral Guide.

What are disbursements?

Disbursements are additional costs for a funeral service that are paid to third-parties, such as florists, celebrants and burial fees. The funeral director will usually charge you for them and then pay the suppliers themselves.

How can I get help with funeral costs?

If the cost of a funeral is not covered by a prepaid funeral plan, or the estate of the person who has died, you may be able to get financial help from the government’s Bereavement Support Payment or from War Disablement Pensions, charitable funds or budgeting loans.
