Standard Simple Funeral

This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

This is a company of lions led by donkeys. Any dealings with the coal face was met with understanding, compassion and dignity. All dealings with the 24hrs number at head office and complaint depth was treated rudely and with contempt.

I cannot praise the entire team at Co-op Funeralcare enough. My Mam was treat with the utmost dignity and respect whilst in their care. Shirley at Whitley Bay was kind and caring and supported my family throughout, offering myself and my Dad a shoulder to cry on and a listening ear whenever needed. Richard, my Mam’s funeral Director, was immaculate and professional throughout and again treat my Mam with the utmost respect. He checked on us almost daily during the period running up to my Mam’s funeral to check that our needs were being met. What a brilliant team of amazing people! I would not hesitate to recommend Co-op Funeralcare. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️
