Having used the co-op before, they are second to none, kind considerate ,  nothing was to much trouble, they made a sad day, a good day, as all was perfect, thank-you all

The Co-op Taunton did a very good job for my dad’s funeral so mum wanted us to use the same when it came time to organise hers.  
I didn’t feel confident throughout my initial meeting to discuss all the requirements for mum’s funeral and indeed never heard again from the lady who conducted it. I had several more calls with other people at the Taunton Co-op in the lead up to the funeral as we knew exactly what mum wanted and it was vital it was right on the day.
As I walked into the crem I saw immediately the wrong coffin.  A wooden one.  Exactly what mum would have hated and had specified she didn’t want.  
I had very specifically and carefully chosen from the booklet I was given a Somerset Wetlands plain wicker coffin.  
I have had an apology of sorts and some recompense but I would give anything for it to have been the right coffin in the first place. 
I will never be able to put into words the awfulness of it. 
I have since been bombarded asking for reviews, including one sent two days after the service from the original lady who went completely silent after my initial meeting with her. 
Please now let me move on in trying to deal with the loss of my lovely mum.

The services provided for the funeral of my husband , Denis  was exemplary in every way
Every person who was a part of it was professional, but kind and compassionate too.
Very special thanks must go to Dawn for everything she did to make it so perfect.

The arrangements were dealt with calmly and efficiently; we were kept informed what was happening every step of the way, and knew we could ask for addition support should we have needed it.

The actual funeral went very well but the run up was a disaster poor sue the manager  was over stretched and unwell I have nothing but praise for her it was the girls that were supposed to be helping her that caused the problem with things not being done I. E obituary not going in paper till the week before my mum funeral we were due to visit mum but we never got a telephone call from undertakers cancelling visit as mum had gone for a post mortem so was upsetting she wasn’t there the last straw was we were unable to get the coffin we wanted as coffin maker on strike I think sue could use help and permanent help not temporary from other places

Very good service. Very helpful, especially as I had to deal with the Taunton Somerset branch from a distance (Norfolk). So it was all done by emails and phone I cannot fault the Co Op's professional service.

The service on the day of the funeral was fine but we were very disappointed by the service we received in the lead up to the funeral. We didn’t get the correct design for the order of service, the photos we provided were lost and we received a draft order of service with someone else’s photos included. There was confusion over the flowers and funeral music. We did not receive any apology for the additional stress we experienced. The driver and Funeral Director on the day of the service were excellent, it’s a shame that the person responsible for making the arrangements did not meet the same standards.

Coop phoned and asked for information already provided. Also expected I ring and sort out the problem of Life Policy when I had already paid the cost of the funeral arrangements at our first meeting with the Coop. Despite me telling the coop that I was the main contact they proceeded to send information to my sister, when I was dealing with my mother's estate. Also tried to add the cost of picking up my mother's ashes from the Crematorium when I already had told them I would pick them up myself. Not a good service at all.

Would highly recommend Taunton Co-op Funeral services.

Co-op nationally might want to consider how payment is dealt with.
Barclays were not prepared to issue confirmation of funds, which surely cannot be an isolated case. This meant that we had to pay immediately, which obviously could be a problem for some clients.
