Not only did the Co-op deal with my step fathers funeral, they also dealt with my Mothers and my Aunts and in each case the service was very good, extremely professional and compassionate.

I would not hesitate to use them again.

I would think inlaying the on screen video on the Obitus site would enhance online viewing.

Whilst the actual funeral day was good and done very professionally there were a few hiccups in the way. Communication was sketchy and we had to chase a few things which wasn’t ideal. This caused my elderly father sone distress so wasn’t great. My feedback is we Felt a bit let down at times even though we have used the coop in our family for funerals for many years. 😞

Cars were really cold as windows had to be left down as we were told for Covid, understandable but been told in advance to bring a coat would of been nice.
We specifically asked not to bring the curtain around my dads coffin at the crem and leave open, the curtained was closed which was up setting for especially my mum and myself.

The person I dealt with was very pleasant but the premises offer no privacy, it feels more like a showroom than somewhere to discuss the last journey of a loved one. I could hear other staff laughing as they went about their business and another member of the public came in while I was there. Later that day I received a call from their care team which I missed. They never rang back so I wasn't sure what the point of it was.

Had an excellent experience with the team at Shrewsbury Funeral Care who looked after my Dad's funeral. From the help received by Helen and Jodie in making the arrangements, to Mark who looked after Dad and asked to drive the hearse (he was a former colleague of my Dad), to Joshua who managed everything on the day. The team who looked after Dad's coffin on the day should also be praised for the sensitive way they handled everything AND for how they looked after a mourner who collapsed. It was professional, caring and very, very supportive and made a difficult day much easier to deal with. Thank you.
