Tracing their origin back to 1867, Gillotts Funeral Directors are an independent family funeral director in Heanor. They offer caring and compassionate funeral services to families in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, although they are also happy to conduct funerals further afield if requested.

The origins of the Heanor funeral home go back to the Second World War, when Ernest Brewin started a joiner's workshop and undertakers - at that time a common combination - on Abbott Street. His nephew Jack Gillott later bought the business from his uncle, and the business became Gillotts Funeral Service. Jack's son-in-law Anthony Topley joined him in the business, and in 1992 when Jack retired, the business merged with Eastwood & District Funeral Service, and Anthony became part of the newly formed partnership.

The team at the Heanor funeral home consists of funeral directors Anthony Topley and Helen Ellis, and Funeral Administrator Amanda Outram, who all have years of experience and will be on hand to guide you through every step of the funeral arrangement.
