Thank you so much for everything, you made the day very special for my late husband.

  • 4 Maureen Matear-Grant 20th Apr 2022

Veronica and the staff on the day of the funeral were excellent. Follow up from Ann after funeral was also excellent.
Initial meeting with Karen was ok however follow up from Karen was upsetting and very poor. She mentioned that I should view my mother a week before the funeral, and then never called to arrange this. I had tried calling the office on the Friday, but no answer or divert. I spent the weekend wondering if I would be able to see my mum. I then had a call at 8.40am on the Monday saying I could view between 12-4 that day. I said this didn’t suit as my husband was up north and didn’t want to go myself. She ‘hummed and hawed’ and then said she would call me back, which she did and said Tuesday between 12-4. I since learned from Veronica that I would have been able to view in the evening if required and several visits if I wanted. Karen only offered one viewing. Also when I mentioned that it was short notice she told me that Coop had a ‘skeleton’ staff. Not appropriate language. I also left a photograph of my mum with Karen and when I arrived to view Mum, was disappointed that Mums hair was nothing like the photograph. This was very upsetting at the time.
Mums name on funeral notice was also spelt incorrectly Mrs Isabella (Isobell) Matear, and in the church Mrs Isabella McTear. These were quickly changed however my mums pet hate was her name spelt McTear!
I did speak with Susan at Kirkintilloch as Kilsyth phone line eventually diverted there and she was also really nice. Our driver on the day, Jamie from Livingstone branch, was really pleasant and appreciated him providing water bottles.
So overall very good just one member of staff letting you down.

  • 5 Mary Wilson 21st Mar 2022

The staff at Kilsyth went over and above in the service and care they provided to my Mum but also to our family at this extremely difficult time. They excelled themselves in preparing my Mum for viewing by the family and I can't thank them enough this meant the world to me and my family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the care, compassion and professionalism the provided.

First class service very helpful reassuring and sympathetic to our situation. Caring
    approachable and very professional x

  • 5 Tammy Wood 14th Mar 2022

On the day of my husband's funeral the service I received was excellent.
My celebrant had taken the time to talk with myself and other members of the family to give my husband a very personal beautiful send off.
All the staff at the funeral home were very understanding, kind, and helped me understand what I needed to do to ensure my husband had the perfect send off.
Unfortunately my husband passed away suddenly at home so the co-op staff had to come to my home to collect my husband they did this in a way to protect his dignity and make myself and our daughter feel at ease with a situation that was out of control.
