Very disappointed with the service provided. Firstly, Co-op funeral Care DID NOT conduct the funeral for my late mother. Secondly, when we arranged the appointment to visit the office, we received a phone call days before the meeting to let us know that the time that your representative had booked would not be sufficient time for us to make the necessary arrangements. Surely, she would have known that the meeting would take at least 2 hours and not 1 hour as she had booked in the diary. We visited the office and presented a policy document with the understanding that the Co-op was responsible for this. We went through the necessary arrangements, only to be told that the policy was not with the Co-op. This was very distressing for me and my family. We decided not to proceed with the Co-op and were then informed that we would have to pay for my late mother to be transported to the funeral directors we had chosen. I'm sure you can imagine that this was very distressing and emotional for us as well as an additional expense. I'm quite surprised that at the time of presenting the policy document that this wasn't checked and verified. I understand that things like this do happen, however, to be charged £350.00 for the transport of my late mother to our chosen funeral director is disgusting. Would I recommend the Co-op Funeral Care - sadly not.

We deeply appreciated the service from the Co-op in planning and organising my Dad's funeral, they were a great help at a very difficult time. Thanks for helping to make it a very special, personal day that I know he would have been so pleased with.
