Standard Simple Funeral

This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

Excellent service from the co-op funeral care on Hertford Road from the moment they collected the body of my civil partner right up to her burial. The team who collected her body were sensitive and caring and allowed me to take the time to say goodbye. Lisa from the co-op branch in Hertford Road was excellent in all matters and talked me through everything sensitively and with great care. George and his team facilitated and played their part in an excellent burial service of Viv. So a huge thank you to everybody for making a very difficult process somewhat easier.

Nooreza and George were so lovely. They treated us with such kindness and patience and we can’t recommend them enough. I couldn’t have asked for a more personal service that I received from all the staff

The day of the cremation went without a hitch which is what it is all about to take

They done everything that I asked for putting no pressure on me plus because I live in Scotland they even got my ashes of my mum the next day which was excellent as did not to travel back down now I gave my mum with us in Scotland now thank you all at the Co-op
