Losing your best friend who you love dearly is difficult enough and trying to arrange the planning of their funeral only amplifies those feelings. However, at this, the most traumatic time of my life so far, I could not have wished for better support and service than that provided by Natalie and her Team at N J Newbury & Sons. Natalie demonstrated genuine care and compassion to not only myself, but also others closely related to my friend, taking time beyond what would be considered generous to look after us. Whether it was getting to know about and understand my friend and what she went through, to sitting and talking when I was overcome with grief, Natalie and her family understood exactly what I was going through and how to support me. Communication was so easy, not limited to a brief formal meeting as some in similar situations to me who I know have experienced, and the planning seemed effortlessly so that the funeral was so wonderfully bespoke to reflect who my friend was; though I know that a great deal of work and planning had been put in by Natalie, her family, and her Team, including working into the night before to ensure everything was perfect (and it was perfect!). Everything at the funeral itself was exact to the vision that Natalie lovingly guided us to create, and was carried out by Natalie and her Team with overwhelming respect and dedication; nothing could have been any more perfect for my friend, it was exactly how she would have wanted it. This was again down to Natalie’s caring and supportive nature and her dedication to ensuring that the funeral was personal, not just going through the motions. Finally, my experience has been that after the funeral the feeling of loss can be overwhelming as it can feel so final and all the funeral planning has ended. Natalie has been amazing and stayed in contact to make sure that I am coping ok…… this is not something that you could hope to experience from other faceless process driven funeral directors. All that I am left to say is thank you from my heart to Natalie, her Husband, her Mum, and her wonderful team for helping me prepare, make plans, and deliver the funeral that Maggie would be proud of, and supporting and ‘holding my hand’ through the hardest day of my life so far – thank you! X.

My father died at the end of September and his funeral was arranged by NJ Newbury and Sons. I found the team really professional as you would expect but also compassionate and prepared to put extra time and effort in meeting the desires of the family whilst ensuring that unnecessary costs were avoided. For example, my Mother wanted him transported to the crematorium in a horse drawn hearse was proving problematical with local firms saying it was too far. Natalie didn't accept this and persevered until she found a solution to make it happen and my Mother was really pleased that he went out in style. This is a company that truly cares and believes that only the very best service is good enough. I am delighted that I went to them and would recommend them without hesitation to anybody looking for a team that cares about both the deceased and the bereaved. Frankly 5 stars aren't enough to reflect my opinion.

I am very happy with the first class service provided to me and my family arranging the joint funeral for my parents, which was held at Boston Crematorium on 2nd September. Sue, Richard and others in your team were very thoughtful and thorough regarding all details, which meant that the funeral day went very well and of course will be remembered in our hearts forever. Thank you all. Best wishes, Chris Thorby

We were supported as a family in a sensitive and supportive way by all staff we spoke with, particularly Richard, at Lincolnshire Co-op Funeral Services in Spalding. They offer a professional service and helped us with whatever we enquired about in order to arrange a funeral that was a fitting tribute to Malcolm. Thank you to everyone involved who cared for Malcolm and us from the time you took him into your care and until after the funeral service.
