This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

I received a very caring and personal service. Gemma and Paula were both very kind and understanding. Louise cared for me at the actual funeral and professionally took me through proceedings the afternoon prior. John was our proficient driver. I can’t think of anything more the staff could have done to ease me through this awful time. It’s become apparent that the business is almost entirely about great staff. My husband and I and my brother all took out Co-op Funeral Care pre paid plans after receiving great care when my sister died but unfortunately it wasn’t the same when my brother died. No permanent staff in office atFaversham, just someone put there to cover, no knowledge of Faversham. Obviously just a job to the stand-in and little actual empathy. So much easier this time with empathetic and professional staff.
