If there were more stars I would rate the care that the funeral company Hadaway and Denton gave ten stars! Carl and Joanna went above and beyond with their care and compassion to make a very difficult time as painless as possible and nothing was impossible. Their attention to detail is unbelievable and I should know as I am Verger at our local village church and have been in contact with many funeral companies.

Hadaway & Denton Independent Funeral Directors is a family firm, which opened in Ashford, Kent to offer dignified care while striving for the highest levels of service. The caring team is focused on maintaining clear and transparent pricing and offering diversity and creativity.

Carl Hadaway and Joanna Denton have served the community of Ashford for years, upholding the highest levels of service and tradition. Carl was head-hunted by Earl & Co Funeral Directors in Ashford, Kent and after training as a Funeral Director soon became the Manager of the local firm. Carl believes in the value of independent funeral directors and when this local firm changed hands to a corporate company Carl moved onto the family firm ‘Dilnot Smith & Son’ before founding Hadaway & Denton. Joanna worked for 20 years as a music teacher, committed to caring for children and sharing her passion as a musician. She now uses this care and passion to serve families in the funeral business.

The Ashford funeral home has a chapel which offers a peaceful environment for families to visit their loved one. The premises were renovated in 2018 to ensure that they are family-friendly and comfortable. The funeral home includes a round table for family meetings and a children's corner. There is parking on site, and the front of the property is always kept clear for visiting families.

Hadaway and Denton have been so supportive and helpful during this awful time. They covered everything, fufilled our odd requests and made this as easy as possible, acting with warmth, compassion and even joining in with our odd sense of humour. I cannot recommend them enough.

Carl & Jo were caring, helpful and professional and put everyone at ease, especially the younger members of the family.
They were very helpful in arranging the funeral quickly to accommodate a family member that was due to leave the country.
The horses and carriage were beautiful. The order of service & photos were lovely too, again arranged quickly.
Carl arranged for the service to be webcast as the number allowed to attend was limited, this allowed family and friends who were unable to attend to view the service too.
We would certainly recommend Hadaway & Denton.
