This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

From our first phone call through to the actual service and beyond, Lindsey and Hayley, in fact everybody we spoke to, were incredibly kind and caring. We felt in safe hands with every aspect of the funeral arrangements. Nothing was too much trouble for them and Mum’s Funeral went so smoothly and was just exactly as we had hoped for. In the end, we almost enjoyed the day, something we never expected! So, thank you for all your help, understanding and reassurance at what could’ve been such a horrible time.

Site staff were excellent. However, limited office opening hrs (10-3) was not helpful. Also, despite telling Hitchin office that we did not want ‘other’ services like legal and financial ( which were not included in original Funeral bond ) I got a call from Manchester within 45 mins of leaving the office , and again the next day . Upselling like this is distasteful.
