If you want to minimise hassle but still leave nothing to chance then place all your arrangements in the hands of Ben Johnson. From the very first telephone call to the end of the funeral service they guided us through the most difficult of times following the death of my wife. They were friendly, helpful, approachable and extremely professional throughout. They respected our wishes but also knew when to provide guidance. We rapidly became confident that they would cover everything and our confidence was not misplaced. At the end of an emotional time we we were grateful for all of their assistance.

Starting with the funeral home, both Andrea and Chris were excellent in making all the arrangements and keeping us fully informed throughout. The Order of Service produced by the Design Team perfectly encapsulated both the day and the memory of our father. Kate the embalmer managed to create the impression that our father was asleep, an amazing achievement, and one that which for my sister and I was so very comforting. On the day of the funeral the funeral team of Peter, Geoff and Nicky organised everything to perfection. There was no rush and the team stayed in the background but were always on hand as a reassuring and supportive presence throughout. They were calm personified, which meant that the funeral was perfectly paced from beginning to end and everyone was able to mix and share their memories of our father.

Christine and the team were absolutely excellent in organising and delivering a meaningful and special tribute and send off to my beautiful dad and mum’s very special husband, Alan Maple. 

Christine took the time to understand our needs, she was emphatic and kind and always professional. She spoke about Dad with such compassion and said kind words.

On the day of the funeral, and before, nothing was ever too much trouble. Everything went extremely well and we felt calm and looked after by Christine and the team.

One thing we particularly liked is how respectful Christine and the team were towards my Dad and mum’s husband. 

Christine was very kind and caring with mum on the day too - making sure she was ok into the church and crematorium.

Thank you very much to Christine and the team. You made a very very difficult time calm and kind for us.

I’ve used previously, I wasn’t happy that mum was not kept onsite (this is why we used them) and that she was kept in Salford - we were not made aware of this. The length of time we had to wait to visit her at chapel of rest wasn’t good, and then difficulty booking appointments to visit - this meant my sister couldn’t attend. They consistently got both my name and mums name wrong which I found upsetting. I don’t feel we got the same service as we have revived  previously which is a shame. The humanist was wonderful, and the attention to details and communication was great, day went  well and was well organised and staff good

The funeral was carried out with reverence and dignity, it was a nice touch that the cortège went past my Mum’s hairdresser’s and stopped for a moment allowing the staff to pay their respects. It was a very moving moment for the funeral party. It was a very fitting ceremony and I feel my Mum would have fully approved.Thank you.
