The staff at Relphs were very helpful and professional in handling my mum’s funeral. They were very respectful and at a time when I was completely heartbroken and overwhelmed they showed great empathy and patience and nothing was too trouble. Would highly recommend.

We have been very disappointed with the service from Relphs unfortunately. There was miscommunication from the instructions we gave when making arrangements to the instructions (or lack of) given to the staff carrying out the duties. Most importantly valuable personal effects we asked to be returned were left in the coffin and so apparently buried which we can only trust is true. We ordered foreign language memorial cards with instructions they were to be sent out so not distributed to guests on the day of the funeral but this was not carried out and they were distributed. My name was completely wrong on some correspondence, minor but shows lack of care being taken. They have apologised for the mistakes, and corrected what they could including supplying more memorial cards without cost, for which we are grateful, but no mention or offer to compensate for the lost jewellery. All told, my family will not be using Relphs again in future based on our experiences this time.

We were shown consideration, politeness and care throughout. Sue was patient with the family and full of sound advice. She introduced us to Mandy, the humanist celebrant, who also had many eccellent ideas and suggestions. I felt that the service really did Brian proud and enabled us to remember the man he was.

Cathrine and Gordon at Arden House provide valuable help in arranging the funeral. Catherine was especially helpful to my Dad.
On the funeral day itself Terry the actual Director provided dignity, direction and thoughtfulness along with the other two members of his team.
Adam who drove us both from  and back home on the funeral day in the Limousine was also very thoughtful in his manor and service to us as our designated drive.
The family coffin bearer party was well supported to undertake this roll with good directions and talk about how to safely handle the roll as well as the two attendants being there to ensure we were comfortable and secure in undertaking this important duty.
The continuity with our families roots in Astley Bridge were well served by the whole team at Relph’s Funeralcare.

We were not updated as to when the deceased were taken from the hospital in to their possession. Also we were not kept updated with the whole process.

I chose Relphs Funeralcare to arrange my Mums funeral. Nothing was too much trouble for Sue. She sorted out all the necessary paperwork, quickly and efficiently keeping me up-to-date with all the arrangements. After the funeral I had a follow up call from Sues colleagues Catherine asking if I was ok.
A very special touch. Could not recommend them enough to handle the final journey of a loved one.
