Standard Simple Funeral

This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

I was very impressed with the service given by Rutherglen Funeralcare. Felt comfortable calling them with questions that cropped up. Jordan was the main person dealing with my funeral plans and I found his manner to be very empathetic. My only complaint is I think they need as a branch to look at the graphic designer which they are using "for order of service" booklets. Very difficult on a late Thursday afternoon to decide on number required. Ordered 40 then thought I would order 10 more early next morning, only to be told designer would charge an extra £40 for 10 as it counted as seperate order. Apart from that I would definately recommend. Thank you.

The staff at COOP Rutherglen were excellent, from Jordan who overseen the plans to Chris on the day who ensured that mum was given a dignified funeral. While looking after us all. All details where attended to and we were supported through the whole process with care and compassion. Can’t thank them enough
