Everything was done to a high standard by all staff, I have the utmost praise for the service I received.
The reason for the lower score is that Co Op pricing!
I don’t know how much more expensive they are overall, but I had two deaths within three days, my Sister in Law on the 2nd Dec, and my Aunt on the 5th Dec, my sister in law was arranged through independent funeral care on Shettleston Road, the one “extra” I added to both funerals was a family car, the Co Op was £210 the independent was £100 !
I refused the order of service and flowers based on how expensive the Co Op was.
My Aunt had taken out a funeral plan in 2013 , and had it not been for that, I would have definitely gone elsewhere.
The staff were second to none, I thank all staff I encountered.
The Co Op are pricing themselves out of business, there are too many independent Funeral companies now, offering the same service at a lower cost, and in my experience to the same standard.
I would advise everyone to use an
independent company ❗️

Gerry and the co op team made such a difficult time in life that bit easier. Was an amazing send off for my dad and everything handled with ease. Very professional but felt very comfortable dealing with all staff as nothing was any bother. Thank you

Initial communication was poor and led to unnecessary distress, however this was resolved satisfactorily. Funeral arrangements were efficient, choices varied. Good support in days leading up to the funeral, and the funeral itself was well managed. I was very pleased with the service given and courtesy shown.

Was arranged by Pamela and from arranging to the viewing and the service by Mark Bishop ( incredible highly recommend ) the celebrant it went smoothly from start to finish I’d also like to thank Gerry and all his staff for being so kind and going above and beyond wonderful service I was so pleased Thank You all Maureen x

The staff were more than helpful, i was guided by there professionalism and tender care. My wife is in heaven looking down nodding her head in venerated approval, nothing was ever too much for the staff to accommodate my wishes, i can't sing their praises loud enough.

From our first meeting with Pamela right through to the cremation itself and the courtesy shown to every member of the family on the journey to Crow Wood golf course could not have been faulted. To say nothing of our request for a wreath in the shape of a hammer! Heart felt thanks.

I would like to say a big thank you to Shettleston Funeralcare. From the day I called for help. The girl on the phone was lovely. Everyday after they made me feel so welcome. The girls took great care of me during the time I was organising my mum's funeral. I couldn't have done anything without their care and help. They are the kindness and I will be forever grateful.
