Good Evening, Sarah and the team at Falkirk were excellent throughout and made the whole journey seamless for my dad and the family in a very difficult time. The contact from Sarah was very thorough without being information overload and she took the time at every step to explain the journey. On the day we could not have been in better hands, from moving mum and the coffin from the house to the hearse, the journey from home to the crematorium and the guidance there was second to none. An aftercare call received a few days later was very much appreciated and helped my dad to put some closure on the previous 2 weeks since mum passed away. He has since spoken many times of how well mum was looked after, from her initial wishes to her final journey. I’d like to place on record my brother lee and my own appreciation too. coupled with dads thoughts above we could not have asked for anyone better equipped than Sarah to help us through. I can’t praise Falkirk Co-op Funeral Service enough… particularly Laura who was so kind, helpful and patient with me while I was trying to arrange a funeral from 400 miles away… never having done it before. 
Everything from the first phone call through to the actual service was handled sensitively.
We definitely made the right choice.

The lead up to the day was distressing with the humanist not turning up and when I phoned her she advised she had covid and had informed Falkirk funeral care the day before that she could t attend at my home. No one had contacted me or arranged another celebrant until I phoned  and it was a scrabble round to try and get someone to come out and see us, my sister i law had travelled from Troon an hour away to be there. It was added stress I didn’t need. I also had to phone the night before to find out when the car would pick us up.  On the day however it couldn’t have gone any better and I thank the funeral director and the celebrant for making the hardest day I’ve had to face slightly easier. I’ve haven’t been told now what happens next regarding picking up his ashes. It’s been  over a week now since the funeral.

We could not have wished for a better send of for my niece Karine. We were treated with respect , dignity and friendliness from our initial contact all the way through the process. Many of my relatives and family have been put to rest by the same branch, Falkirk. All though over the years staff change  at every level, there has never been and change in the professionalism, standards are always at an extremely high standard. What I would say is that it must have been a very difficult period  to have made the necessary adjustments to maintain  such high standards whilst trying to negotiate the current pandemic. Craig and his support staff at Falkirk  have been exceptional in everything they have lead us through. I will in the near future return to visit them and thank them personally, however that will have to wait until my unfortunate experience with COVID has passed.

I used the Co-op Funeralcare as my family have done throughout the years.This was the first time I had to arrange a Cremation for a loved one and I cannot thank the staff enough, every detail was expertly carried out and on the Day, their professionalism shone. I was, may I add, surprisingly delighted with the low cost.

Given that I was dealing with the arrangements on my own and funding it very difficult I so appreciated the understanding shown.

Only reason marked down is documents sent to me to sign took a week to arrive, maybe better to have been posted first class.
