Standard Simple Funeral

This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

When my sister died suddenly at the end of December, it was a total shock. The circumstances weren't easy and it was several weeks before we were able to finally hold Claire's funeral. I got in touch with McKenzie & Millar Leith because they had handled the funeral of my brother in law's step father. My first contact was with Sandi, and that continued throughout the process. I honestly was dreading that first meeting, but Sandi was brilliant, so kind, caring and understanding. Apart from also being super organised, responsive and proactive. My family and I will be forever grateful for Sandi's support during the worst time of our lives. I truly know that Sandi made a huge difference to us all, but especially to me as I was the main contact for the family. I thank Sandi and Team from the bottom of my heart for being such dedicated, caring professionals.
