Abercorn took charge of an horrendous time for our family. Marie guided me through every aspect of the upcoming decisions I had to make. Abercorn took care of everything from looking after my Mother who passed away to arranging every part of her funeral and all the little details which made her service so special. Nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful people, every one of them.

I was told that your choice of funeral directors, was one of the most important decisions I would make in the next few months. How right they were. I found Abercorn funerals had good reviews, so decided to take them. Another good decision. We met Marie with a bit of apprehension, however, we were put at ease,with her respect and comforting thoughts and quickly realised this was a great choice. Looking back in hindsight, I was told they would be our best friends, in the next few weeks. ....Also correct.....I recommend Abercorn Funeral Direcectors ...they were superb. Established in 2022 by funeral professionals Tom Osborne and Marie DeMarco, Abercorn Funeral Services was founded with a simple vision: to provide families with a caring, independent alternative where every person is treated with the respect they deserve. Together, the team brings more than 85 years of combined experience in the funeral profession, offering trusted guidance while ensuring every funeral reflects the wishes, values and life of the individual being remembered.

Conveniently located at 204 Piersfield Terrace, the Edinburgh City funeral home serves families throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians. Founder Tom Osborne has worked within the funeral profession for more than 27 years, building extensive experience in funeral arranging, directing and management. His commitment to treating every family with kindness and respect forms the foundation of Abercorn's approach.

Co-founder Marie DeMarco brings many years of experience as a senior funeral arranger and is dedicated to ensuring every family feels supported from their very first contact. The wider team includes experienced Funeral Arrangers Elaine Carr and Doreen Hamilton, whose backgrounds in funeral care and customer support enable them to provide compassionate guidance, practical advice and reassurance throughout the funeral planning process.

    From the moment I made the phone call to arrange the funeral for my mother.  The experience I had from,Tom Osborne, and staff was amazing. To picking the right coffin for my mum the flowers, order of service and even the announcement in Evening New paper. Abbercorn Funeral services will be my first stop if I ever have to go through this terrible time again.  The attention to detail on the day of my mum’s funeral was just perfect .

    My sister did not want a funeral so I just arranged a direct cremation. The exact procedure was explained to me by Sandra, who was very helpful, and everything went to plan with the minimum of stress.

    We are so grateful to Abercorn for their care and compassion in arranging our Dad's funeral. They handled the transfer of Dad (and soon after, Mum) from Essex to Edinburgh with dignity and professionalism, which brought us great comfort during such a difficult time.
    On the day of the funeral everything was organised beautifully, allowing us to focus on saying our goodbyes. Thank you to the whole team for helping us give Dad the respectful and heartfelt farewell he truly deserved.
