Arranging a funeral is a challenging undertaking. The staff at Taylor and Tester, though, stepped in at every stage of the event and eased all of the pressures. The result was that we had the final day where we were just able to focus on ourselves. So, a big thank you.

My sister and I found everyone at Tester’s kind and gentle whilst being very efficient. They made a difficult time much easier. They helped with everything and on the day conducted the service smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble.

The beautifully turned out undertaker slowly walking in front of Mums hearse solemnly tapping his silver cane added a fittingly melancholy aspect that will always stay with me.

We found the people at Tester and Jones to be very kind, patient and understanding. They were efficient in getting everything done and helping us through this difficult time. Their communication was generally very good. There were only some very small points that they could improve on. We were not always made aware of the costs of items, for example the obituary notice in the local paper, which we probably wouldn’t have had if we had known how much it would cost. We were also not made aware that our mother’s ashes could have been left at the crematorium for the interment; instead they were taken back to the funeral parlour without us being asked about this first. Overall though we were very happy with the service provided and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. We would also add that we used Tester and Jones’s services for our father’s funeral many years ago and that our mother benefitted greatly from joining the Bereavement Group that they organise and run.

The staff at Tester & Jones in Crowborough were kind, compassionate and considerate of the family's wishes for the funeral of my mother-in-law. The various options, from simple unattended cremation to a funeral with ceremony were laid out for us so that we were able to choose, with none of the pressure or 'upselling' that you sometimes hear about with the big firms. A very nice bunch of people indeed and highly recommended

Louise and her team made the day although sad a great success. Everything had been organised very well and went smoothly. The coffin bearers team were very respectful and well turned out.

The Herne Road chapel was charming and just the right size for us being about 40 people.

Rev. Mark Rapley could not have done a better job making the religious service seem very friendly, engaging and relevant. I would highly recommend Tester and Jones for their very professional service.

William was amazing. This is the first time I’ve ever had to do anything like this, and I was dreading it, but he slowly calmly and empathetically took me through every step of the way. I visited my husband multiple times and sat by his closed coffin. Tea and tissues at the ready. They could not have made me more welcome. The whole process was seamless. I can’t thank them enough.X
