This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

From making the initial phone call on Sunday 27 November where the call handler took all the details of my mothers death to receiving a call back from Dwayne a short while later I have nothing but praise . Dwayne and Amber in the office making all the arrangements for mums cremation was empathetic, making the process as good as it could possibly be in the circumstances. I have received regular updates since my appointment regarding mum being collected from the hospital, being taken to the funeral care home and following the cremation. I would recommend co-op funeral care to others.

Coop have now taken care of my dad, daughter and recently mum. I can not fault the service in anyway. The care and understanding is amazing they have the ability to read a person to know how to talk to them and put them at ease. At this difficult time they are professional yet friendly. These people know their job 100%.I would recommend them to anyone and will be making my funeral plan with them shortly. All I can say to the whole team is a massive thankyou.

The people we talked to were very caring and guided us throughout. They offered their expert advice and support enabling us to make the right decisions for our dad and ourselves. We could not have been guided and cared for by the people from the Goole office. Overall there compassion, service and actions on our behalf can only be described as excellent. The co op can be highly recommended in the care they took for our father and us as his family from the beginning to the end. No body should be worried about asking for advice from them. They can be relied upon to support and guide families and friends through the process in a time when people can feel vulnerable.

The people were so helpful and informative and talked us through all the arrangements and everything. Steve Grey the celebrant was very helpful in terms of advise and sensitivity and gave an amazing eulogy for Brian.Paul Hargrave was extremely helpful and kind he was there on Saturday so the family could say their goodbyes to Brian which we appreciated very much! Pauline at the Goole branch was also very kind and understanding and we would highly recommended the Coop funeral service.

The funeral service and Morag the celebrant were excellent however leading up to the funeral day was disappointing due to the Goole funeral directors not being open on a few occasions when we called there. Also continuity of staff members would have been more appropriate at this difficult time.
