All the staff at the CO-OP Funeral Directors in Darlington have been amazing since the passing of my father.
I would like to make a special mention to Julie who works in the office and who officiated on the day of the Funeral.
Without her I do not think my fathers funeral would have gone as smooth as it has. If anyone in that company deserves a pay rise, a job promotion or any other reward then I would put Julie forward 100 times out of 100.

my father passed away on 20th june we contacted coop funeralcare from then on they took over and sorted everything out from start to finish this is the third time that we have used the coop and we will be using them in the future

Nick was respectful and efficient in contacting crematorium, vicar etc quickly and keeping us in touch. He contacted us regularly and on the day provided a very good service

This was the first funeral I have had to arrange , Sandra, Johnathan and Havi the Celebrant were great, really helped me through all the stages and were so friendly and approachable.
I would definitely recommend their service.

Having used Co-op funeral care for relatives before and both my wife & I have held Co-op funeral plans for about 10 years we assisted Kenneth's Brother in choosing the basic "Essential" package. The representative Toni came out and discussed the options which included Kenneth wearing his suit rather than a shroud. Toni said she would re visit us at the beginning of the next week and we said we would have his suit ready for her which we did. As we had not had a face to face from Toni by the Wednesday (Funeral on Friday) we phoned Co-op back and were told that it was too late to put his suit on him but they could put it in the coffin which we felt was a bit of an insult as we had requested he was to wear it as he would have in life as opposed to a shroud. Over all we felt that we were offered a lower level of service reflecting our choice of using the "essential" (as we were not at that stage aware of any financial situation of Kenneth's estate). We sincerely hope that when it comes to our time the level of service will not cause similar distress to our family.
