Phil was so very helpful. Made an upsetting and difficult time a lot easier to cope with and get through. His attention to detail was 2nd to none. Couldn't have got through this without him or the rest of the staff. They looked after my dad and nothing was too much trouble.

My husband was an HGV driver and it was so important to all the family that his last journey was made on his own truck, Phil and the team at Chester Le Street office were so helpful, thoughtful and respectful.  The team leased with the company my husband worked for to make everything on the day perfect and run like clockwork without having to bother us too much about details.  The team were always pleasant and helpful and made the most stressful time more manageable .  We were put in touch with a celebrant and were promised the best and we certainly got the best, Hilary Bolton visited our home and captured our family spirit perfectly drawing on happiness and positivity and even made sure we were all doing ok after the funeral.   The funeral director Phil was friendly and pleasant from meeting him and reassured us every step of the way, he arranged fingerprints, viewings, our own song to be played and all the logistics of the day.  The staff were immaculately presented as were the vehicles offering a first class image proving we had chosen the best for our loved one.  We had help with our choice of charity and the respect and dignity continued when I collected the ashes and Phil placed the urn in the car and secured for me. We wanted the best and that is certainly what the co op have provided us with , we would not hesitate to recommend them .

My mother had a funeral plan with Co Op Funeral Care, it was very easy to arrange her funeral, also to order flowers and order of service. Kathryn was very friendly and very professional everything went very smoothly. All the staff were very kind and nothing was too much trouble and thanks to Blair for meeting us on a Saturday. They also arranged a lovely celebrant called Samantha Ayre she took a lot of time and trouble to get things right about Mam. They also got in touch quickly to arrange collecting her ashes.
