I can find no fault in the service my wife received from Alistair Walker and his colleagues.
He was businesslike during our meetings, without losing his air of sympathy.
Of special note was his asking me for a synopsis of Yvonne's life, he said "we don't like to deal with a number, we want to know the person we have here."
Everything went smoothly, and he answered mist of my questions before I asked them, a sign of great experience and professionalism.

From our first meeting I was put at ease. I was guided through this harrowing experience with care and compassion. Every step of the way I was kept informed of my choices and the steps that were followed. I feel that my mother was treated with dignity and respect at all times. The funeral was flawless. Excellent service was provided. Very professional and caring. Everything was handled with dignity. On the day we were gently guided through the process from pick up, to arrival at the church, leaving the church, at the graveside including backfilling and on to the repass. Timings worked well. From my initial contact with Reading Funeralcare to the day of the funeral I was kept in touch with how it was progressing. All that I asked for was provided. Nothing was too much trouble. I single out Toniann and Alistair for being so very helpful at what is a sensitive life event. I am truly very pleased I chose Reading Funeralcare to conduct the service for my partner of 35 years Colin, who wanted 2 black horses drawing the hearse to convey him on his last journey, magnificent, and Alistair carrying a black cane was a nice gesture. Very well done to all involved in Colin's funeral. I shall use them again when it is my time to depart this life. Kenneth Morris

There are not the words to describe the help and professionalism shown, courteous, polite, informative. Above all the respect shown to not only my father but to all of the mourners.
Even in the face of third party failures I was shielded from a potential disaster which was dealt with behind the scenes.
Nothing was too much trouble, and I really felt supported throughout. 
There are people who do a job and people who are vocationally tuned in to what they do. Alistair (and his staff) are the latter.
My absolute sincerest thanks for providing the send off he would have loved.

I am so pleased to have had Reading Funeralcare organise my husband’s humanist funeral. Our wishes for the funeral were carried out impeccably by Toniann, with our emotional welfare taken care of from the very start. The hearse was led to the service very respectfully by Joy and our family’s thoughts were included by celebrant Amy, in a very dignified and beautiful service that celebrated my husband’s life from his birth to his passing. Great respect was shown to him which left our family and friends feeling that his life had touched us all for the better. Many of them commented afterwards how wonderful the service had been. I cannot thank them enough for providing exactly what we wanted and how it left us feeling.
