We opted for a Direct Cremation, as there is only 4 people in our family.
Everything was straight forward with no hassle.

The short version is simply - A Lady named Terri at teh bedford branch was an absolute disaster to deal with...

When arranging the funeral within the first week of my father passing she was informing us the £4k he had assured wasn't enough to bury him, she told us although it ws an assured plan we would need to pay £4k before they would collect my father. She was rude, abrupt full of deceit. after 3 weeks waiting for his body to be collected she told me it would be "some time" beforehe was collected and it was our fault because I hadn't taken a suit in yet and they wouldn't collect him without clothes -

All this was proven to be incorrect when a nice lady called Leslie informed me the real reason was logistical issues that had meant there was a delay in collecting him.

All in all I would never recommend the coop funeral group to anyone else.

My thanks go to Terry at Bedford Co-Op funeral care, she was fantastic with all the arrangements for my Mum’s funeral.  She took care of everything and this was a huge help.  I’d also like to thank Harry our funeral director on the day and his team who really did everything with great respect and helped us enormously.

From first contact with funeral care, and throughout all the procedures I was given the upmost care and consideration at all stages of arranging my Wife's funeral.

From collecting my wife's body, the upmost consideration was taken. the local office staff were extremely sympathetic and helpful treating our family with the most care and understanding, nothing was to much trouble ensuring our wishes were carried out to our request.

The funeral cortege team were again very polite , smart, and we were treated with the most dignity at all times ,

I have no hesitation in highly recommending the service .

I can not thank Coop Funeral parlour enough for their kindness, understanding and help given to myself and my family after the death of my mother. We have used Coop funerals for four of my relatives now and I would not use any other company. Thank you.

All the contact and communication that we had with all the staff from Bedford Funeralcare was outstanding. From the initial phone call from Lesley, to Terry Vivash who was our funeral arranger, we felt relaxed and not pressured into a "hard sale" for my grandmothers funeral. Discussing all options including having a celebrant (who was amazing) over a religious official to conduct the service.
My grandmother passed having suffered from Dementia for years so apart from her wanting to be cremated she was not able to tell us any wishes for her funeral.

The ceremonial staff on the day of the funeral were professional and friendly, again making sure that we were looked after, explaining how we would enter and stayed with us until it was time to move on from the crematorium.
Having never planned a funeral before, I found the experience with their guidance a relatively simple one. If asked I would definitely recommend their services.

Everyone involved was thoughtful and caring from the time I informed them my wife had died through to a follow up call the day after her funeral. As a family we felt that Co-op Funeralcare really did care. Nothing was too much trouble.
