Widnes Crematorium has been serving bereaved families in the local community in Cheshire since 1959.

A dignified cremation funeral service honouring your loved one’s life can be held at the crematorium which seats 70 and has extra space for standing. Service times are up to 30 minutes, but this can be extended on payment of an additional fee. Cremations may take place between 9 am and 3.30 pm from Monday to Thursday and between 9 am to 2 pm on Fridays. The funeral service can be held on Saturday for an extra charge.

The recently refurbished crematorium now has a modern music system with a varied selection of music and webcasting services which can help families plan for a personal funeral service. Families can book an appointment directly for a tour around the crematorium or liaise with a funeral director to make appropriate funeral arrangements.

Following the cremation, the ashes may be interred within the cemetery grounds, placed in an above ground sanctum vault or scattered in the peaceful memorial gardens.
