Teesside Crematorium

About Us

Teesside Crematorium is located within the grounds of Acklam Cemetery, and is a peaceful and tranquil space for you to lay your loved one to rest, made up of memorial gardens, landscaped lawns, and woodland areas.

The crematorium has two chapels for services, and a remembrance chapel which houses the Book of Remembrance. Each of the service chapels, St. Bede's and St. Hilda's, have car parking available and are fully accessible. St. Bede's Chapel is decked with warm wood panelling and pew-style seating. It is traditional and welcoming and can seat up to 60 people. St. Hilda’s chapel is bright and modern, with Scandinavian style decor. It can seat up to 30 people.

Both chapels use the Obitus music system, which allows you to choose any music that you wish, without the need for a CD or USB stick. Webcasting services are also available for those that cannot be at the service physically.

The Bereavement Services office is open Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 12pm. The Chapel of Remembrance is open 7 days a week, from 9am to 12pm. The grounds and gardens at Teesside are open all year around for visiting.
