Salisbury Crematorium
About Us
Salisbury Crematorium has served the local communities of Salisbury and the surrounding area since the 1960s. The crematorium was recently refurbished for £2.6 million to improve the comfort of the facilities and make it more environmentally-friendly. The multi-faith chapel is based on a Scandinavian style of building and can seat up to 130 people. There is an organ for the performance of live music by a resident organist and a Wesley digital music system with an extensive range of pieces to choose from. The standard duration of a service is 25 minutes, but families can gather for an additional 20 minutes to view floral tributes. Double time-slots are available for an additional fee. The crematorium has a garden of remembrance that features formal gardens and woodland areas. There is a pond near the chapel. A range of memorials can be installed in the garden of remembrance, including wall plaques and vases. The Salisbury Crematorium office is open 10:30-16:30, Monday to Friday, and the gardens of remembrance are open sunrise-sunset, all year round. The book of remembrance chapel is in the garden of remembrance. There is parking for 70 cars. The crematorium is 2 miles from Salisbury railway station and there is a bus service from Salisbury every 15 minutes that stops at the entrance.Nearby funeral directors
