In loving memory of Mary Dixon (née Harrison) who sadly left us on 9th January 2023
Our lovely Mary had recently been diagnosed with an advanced brain tumour, and was placed in the excellent care of the Wisdom Hospice, before coming back to us at the family home she created and loved so much.
Stoic Yorkshirewoman, complete Francophile, lover of language, accomplished baker and cook, lifelong teacher, encourager and supporter, always learning something new, a creative spirit to whom family meant everything. We will miss her enormously.
The funeral will be held on Friday 3rd February 2023 at 3pm, at the Medway Crematorium, ME5 9QU, and then a gathering in the Hogarth Suite at the Bridgewood Manor, ME5 9AX. In the spirit of making this a celebration of her life and creativity, she had always insisted that we should all wear colourful clothes, and we'd like to ask anyone attending to join us in this. Also no flowers please but donations if desired to the Wisdom Hospice.

Mary,that Yorkshire phrase about deliverance naturally created an affinity between us. As a colleague at Hoo your warmth and caring nature were always the bedrock of your practice and success in a classroom. Now,as a close neighbour and friend you will be missed by all at number 12. Gone too soon. Rest in peace Mary.
