Brian Andrew Corbett, much loved Brother, Husband, Father and Grandad passed away peacefully on June 29th 2022.

After attending St Francis Xavier School in Liverpool, he went to Technical College where he earned enough qualifications to secure an apprenticeship with the Central Electricity Generating Board in 1960. His work with them took him all over the country - North Wales, Anglesey, Suffolk (where he met his late wife Hazel), Shoreham in Sussex, South Wales and thence to the Medway, where he retired from National Power after 33 years distinguished service. Following this, he pursued a successful career as a Consultant Electrical Engineer, working mostly for the NHS on many major hospital projects in the Medway area.

He was a passionate sailor and could be found with his beloved Winifred and Yankriss at every available opportunity. He was involved in many maritime organisations, in many different capacities, and was respected and loved across the UK and overseas - He will be much missed by all of us

Having known Brian for twenty five years and having attended many project meetings on behalf of the local NHS Trust it is with great sadness that I am writing this message of condolence to Brian's family. A true professional and overall gentleman and dear friend who genuinely cared for his local hospital and staff and many times gave priority to the Trusts need rather than his love for sailing and other interests. Brian did retire from his commitment to the hospital but richly deserved a long and enjoyable retirement and never gave up his generosity giving time for others, will be sadly missed by many

It is with much sadness that I find myself writing this message of condolence to Brian's family. Although I have only know Brian for a relatively short time, he will be a huge hole to fill - both personally and professionally. He will be greatly missed by all those in Maldon and the impact his involvement has had with our Heritage Harbour will always be remembered. So very sorry for your loss. Carlie
