I was very happy with the way all members of the team handled the funeral arrangements. They gave me time to talk through ideas, listening carefully and making suggestions sensitively, to help me when decisions were more difficult. The team at the Co-Operative (Stanley Verity, Pudsey); from the gents who came to collect my dad after he passed; to Jo who did a sterling job helping and supporting me all the way through the funeral arrangements; to Moira and the team, who carried out the whole service beautifully... I can't thank you all enough!
The team at Pudsey really are absolutely outstanding and I would highly recommend them to anyone and will. Thank you again for your commitment, care and support at such a difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble and that is a great comfort at a sad and difficult time. Deborah Singleton

The staff at the Pudsey branch Jo & Moira we’re very understanding to the funeral arrangements that my dearest had requested & we just wanted to go along with his wishes . I got this review before I got dads ashes back so that was a bit early for review.

Direct cremation so a bit odd at first.
Easy to arrange,
Took a week for ashes back but this maybe standard.
Thanks to lovely Moira and Jo who spent a lot of time and care with me arranging. Top marks to them.

I found the Funeral Director assigned to my husband's funeral very pleasant and sympathetic to my wishes. However I was not impressed by the standard of care given by the mortuary staff. When I visited the Funeral Home to see my husband I found that he had not been placed with care. One arm was under his body, he was not flat but tipped slightly so that he was facing sideways, also his head was up against the top of the casket and his feet away from the bottom. After these faults had been redone I was advised that he was beginning to change when I wanted to see him again. I now regret giving up that opportunity.

Very professional, helpful and supportive. Couldn't have asked for better service. Very caring caring and knowledgeable about the process. The director was wonderful throughout and was always in touch and contactable. Everything was just as we wanted and nothing was too much trouble. The driver and bearers were immaculate and brilliant on the day and the admin staff were great throughout.

Mum's funeral was handled so well by Co-op Funeral Care from beginning to end. Our initial contact was extremely sensitive and respectful which helped as we looked at what was involved and what options we would need to decide upon. Throughout the intervening period, prior to Mum's funeral, I was kept in touch with all arrangements and given delicate reminders about any decisions we needed to take; this was really helpful and so tactfully done. Mum had a dignified and respectful funeral, fulfilling all of her wishes. The respect shown at the hearse was incredibly moving and I shall always remember it. The care and delicate assistance at the crematorium was so well done, we couldn't have asked for more. We are indebted to their professionalism and I highly recommend them.

Exemplary service provided by the Funeral Director and the wider team at the Pudsey Office of Co-Op Funeral Care.  We felt supported all the way through the process from start to finish.  All arrangements were carefully explained, and the Funeral Director ensured we understood what was going to happen next.  When unfortunately, our named Funeral Director went on absence due to COVID, our arrangements were picked up by another Funeral Director two days before the funeral, which was a seamless transition.  That really shows how professional Co-Op Funeral Care are in their arrangements. We really felt like we were treated with compassion and respect at a difficult time for us.  I would have no hesitation in recommending Co-Op Funeral Care again.  Thank you.
