About Us

Established in 2015, R. Greaves & Co is an independent, female owned and run funeral director in Wem, Shropshire.

Rhian Greaves has been a funeral director since 2002, and takes great pride in offering a personal, individually-tailored service, with nothing being too much trouble. She is professional and compassionate and will listen to your specific requests and make you feel as relaxed and in-control as possible. Your requirements will be taken care of with the utmost dignity and respect by a team of local specialists who care.

The entire staff is highly trained, and Rhian has a huge amount of knowledge of all areas of the funeral business, having covered military funerals, sea burials, motorbike and horse-drawn funerals, as well as humanist services, specialist repatriations and eco-friendly woodland burials.

The modern funeral home in Wem has recently been fully renovated and is a peaceful and comfortable place to discuss and arrange your loved one's funeral. The arrangement room has a feature stained glass window, and is fully accessible for disabled users. The Chapel of Rest has been dedicated by the local Church Of England Minister and provides a calm and intimate space for you to visit your loved one, and to say goodbye, or just reflect.

R Greaves & Co in Wem is open Monday to Friday from 10am - 4pm, and by appointment on Saturdays. The phone is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so if you are in need, do get in touch, no matter the hour, and Rhian or one of her staff will be there to help
