Absolutely outstanding service from start to finish. Professional caring staff they helped us carry out all Mums wishes with ease. Cannot thank them all enough for the care and support. If your looking for a company to make a terrible time easier then these guys are the ones.
Started by Andy Askew in the early 1990’s, this funeral home was incorporated into the A W Lymn group in September 2004.
Andy has remained as a funeral director at A W Lymn and has conducted many of the funerals in Shirebrook, becoming very well known in the community. Nowadays, Andy is based in our Mansfield Woodhouse branch, so Jackie Potter currently arranges most funerals at Shirebrook.
Jackie can assist you Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and also in after-office hours by appointment.
The branch features private parking, visiting rooms, a reception area, family rooms and cold room facilities.
The office covers all of Shirebrook and its surrounding areas including Berry Hill, Blidworth, Church Warsop, Clipstone, Forest Town, Harlow Wood, Ladybrook, Mansfield, Pleasley, Rainworth, Ravenshead, Warsop, Warsop Vale and beyond.
Matthew, Jackie and Nigel Lymn Rose currently manage A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service.

Nothing was a problem for them and they suggested things that we hadn't thought of and was very helpful. Mum is a wheelchair user and the chauffeur were very helpful.

I would like to give a huge thank you to all the staff at A W Lymn, Jackie gave my daughter and I a lovely warm welcome into her office made us both feel relaxed through what should have been a terrible ordeal. The gentlemens that took Kenneth and ourselves to the crematorium was very kind and gentle in dealing with everyone getting into the car and extremely respectful through the whole process even to giving Kenneth respectful nods. With it been a non religious ceremony we was offer a gentleman called Adam Humphries to take the service. Adam came to visit my daughter and I at our home again very respectful gentleman who gave a lovely recall of our memories and tributes of Kenneth on the day. They helped to make Kenneth's send off warm and loving.
