Incredibly professional and personal service, during the worst time of our lives. It was really reassuring to know that everything was being planned and organised as per our wishes. We are incredibly grateful, especially to Jackie Potter (Shirebrook branch) who was wonderful.
Started by Andy Askew in the early 1990’s, this funeral home was incorporated into the A W Lymn group in September 2004.
Andy has remained as a funeral director at A W Lymn and has conducted many of the funerals in Shirebrook, becoming very well known in the community. Nowadays, Andy is based in our Mansfield Woodhouse branch, so Jackie Potter currently arranges most funerals at Shirebrook.
Jackie can assist you Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and also in after-office hours by appointment.
The branch features private parking, visiting rooms, a reception area, family rooms and cold room facilities.
The office covers all of Shirebrook and its surrounding areas including Berry Hill, Blidworth, Church Warsop, Clipstone, Forest Town, Harlow Wood, Ladybrook, Mansfield, Pleasley, Rainworth, Ravenshead, Warsop, Warsop Vale and beyond.

Everything from start to finish was done professionally, sympathetically and with empathy! David was amazing and he was a great source of comfort throughout all the arrangements and the funeral service itself! It has been such a difficult time,but I cannot fault anything, everything was done with care and I cannot thank David enough! Thank you so much for making an absolutely heartbreaking time bearable. I would like to thank Jackie too from the initial contact to her coming back off annual leave, very understanding and caring!

I’ve never organised a funeral before so felt a massive pressure to get it all right.
Jackie guided me through the process, and Andy was an angel. Together they both helped me make sure it was the send off my grandma deserved.
Very communicative, respectful and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble and they couldn’t accommodate me enough. I am grateful to them for everything. I got the best of service at the worst of times.

My dear mum's funeral was superbly organised right down to the finest detail and everything went off without a hitch. All the staff were very professional, sympathetic and helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend AW Lymn to my friends. The offices at Shirebrook are lovely, the cars too and we are so pleased that we chose Lymn's to organise mum's funeral.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank A.W.Lymn undertakers for the excellent funeral and service they provided for the burial of my mother in law Dorothy Fowler on the 15th of October at Shirebrook Cemetery. Jackie at the Shirebrook branch was extremely helpful and advised us on the nescessary proceedures we had to follow. The drivers and the coffin bearers all made the whole funeral run like clockwork. Once again thank you to everyone.
